🖊 Pens Style Samples ðŸ“‹

Welcome

Style Colors: https://material.io/guidelines/style/color.html#color-color-palette. There is also a clue on how to use text on backgrounds there.

Welcome. The Pen styles, and this page is only a brief guide, and how styles are used here differs from a slick magazine style page that may be designed as a work of art in itself.

Many of the tools in WordPress to produce such art is missing. Possibly the pages in most cases WordPress were to be limited in how a design was made. Ten-Ten seems to have more flexibility in what can be done.

This space is a working space, and so it is unlike the magazine or brochure. The text colors are meant to look good, but they also have a functional meaning to them which is also a very important consideration.

The full power of color text has not been fully utilized here, as it can be time consuming, but pre-made designs can help as reminders, and as cut and paste units that are often used here already in the form of code snippets.

There may be pages that are made from (sub-sections of) this page, that act as more exact examples for the different types of articles as mentioned in Article Tags [article]: http://wp.me/P10Tww-48f. most of the articles here are about sharing music though. But due to re-branding of Gharr, it is hard to tell what articles will be dominant in the future (if operations continue).

Some articles such as buying and making Vocaloids dance, may need considerable thought put into the design, as they are popular, and adding color might put-off some readers. That is: such articles are made for reading and are not really a work-space, as many of the articles here are.

Adding colors is certainly going to be a design challenge, and mistakes will probably be made, as this art form develops.

In magazine styles, a primary, secondary, and other colors that go together will are used (called color schemes); and that be a major consideration for colored text styles for other types of articles, rather then a functional meaning that is used for work-spaces type articles.

There will be a time when articles are developed, where experimentation is used to see what colors go together well in some types of articles.

Examples Of Using Color Text: Pen Styles

Warning: the following page is full of examples, and contains style information, but not much else (using red pen to highlight information).

IMNH: I’M a New Hypothesis

Pure Orange Pen can also be useful to highlight things inside headings.

Red is sometimes used as a heading style, it tends to really stick out, but so do some other colors

Red Pen (dark red pen for highlighting inside red or black pen): since red pen tends to be used for the purpose of sticking out, it may not always be perfect for headings, or for normal text, but as shown here, a solid block of it can make a section or page look like it’s important, or just a specialized-draft (that might have colors changed later on). Red can be handy also for game-rule style documents.

Minor Headings & the Neutrino Heading Blue Pen

The minor heading pen also has a related highlighting Navy Blue Pen.

This is a Penciled Note: take no notice, this note means nothing.

🗒🗒🗒

If there is no pen style//then the page//is grey and white #Poem on Dark Purple.

If there was no blue-vie (violet/purple) pen normal text, then there would be no information. Most text is a mixture of black and grey shortened links here. This page is unusual as there is little in the way of those colors.

Setting aside text is done by using green pen, but as always the green tea needs emphasis. Normally (Orange highlighter Pen) this is notes that are often read as part of operations, and need to be easy to read. It may be background information, or information that is not sharable, but needs to be there for some reason.

Background information, and occasionally material that includes links might be more for reference or background, and this text would indicates that. For example short demo music, and samples form albums might use Faded Orange Pen. This  text stays in the background and only gets noticed when it is needed.

The nexus pen, is used in nexus lists, and they tend to exist on separate pages, and have a certain style associated with them. Nexus lists either link directly to the material of interest, or to the page that contains the material of interest.

🗒 Links, Highlight Pure Orange, Highlighted Neutrino Blue Pen: work well in certain situations.

Not all notes need to be used as material that is shared, this type of note indicates that. May for instance indicate the length of a video in minutes.

Some material is actual work-related links as opposed to shareable material, this is a way to indicate this material is not meant for sharing, but rather the link should be followed if it is found to be useful or relevant: ☆ Style Codes (for Gharr’s Style Manual) [article]: http://wp.me/P10Tww-1Uj

Dark Cyan Pen is less commonly used, here it is used to indicate a copy and past of this particular link may have problems in some cases.

Highlighting Navy Blue Pen and Blue pen can be used to set aside material such as albums, or music that may have bad language for example (which might have an accompanying note: ⚠ My be offensive & uses swearing 🔴). Not all albums are marked with times, so it may be hard to see them normally.

Blue pen used for notes might work in some cases, but not in other cases.

The fall-back gold pen, needs highlighting, but instead of using white, this color works out well with stronger types of colors. Fall back pen can also be used as a highlighter, and that is unusual, but it produces a relaxing contrast of text to look at.

Gold 31 August: Hatsune Miku’s ❤❤❤ Birthday

★ Special date; 31 August: Miku’s birthday, is related to her release date.

★ 9’th march (39) and 31’st August: two special days for the fans of Hatsune Miku ❤❤❤

Silver, and Dark silver is very similar to existing ultra ghosted, and ghosted grey pens. These two pens can be used on a grey background where they stick out. Lighter color may need to be tweaked.
Green Pen
Not sure how this will be used in documents. It might be used in a similar way to red, but for drafting documents, or to make a section of text look important for some reason. Not sure how stressful this type of pen will be if large parts of a document were made with it: Light Green Pen.

This is a sample comment box where a ghosted part: ghosted comment is sort of like a highlighter in reverse.

Pure Teal: apparently the eye is more sensitive to lighter shades, and that is why that range often gets more attention.

Content Providers Bio: @ContactList; Website; Notes about content provider. Short summary of what the content provider does that may not match the bio from the provider. Relationship of content provider to other things; Notes about the content provider tweet style, or the idea/functionality of the tweets (such as selling, politics, concepts, ideas). This part may not exist for all entries. Some sections use this style of pen for notes about the content provider, and no other colors after the contact list. The styles shown here is only a suggestion, and following the style of the section is also a good concept.

  • Indented notes: are additional notes that may be black text, as this sticks out in this sort of style.
  • Gharr’s Comment: Comments may be made from the perspective of Gharr. This sort of comment might reflect on how the contact fits in with the global, or local-community for example. It is meant to be subjective.

The above example only uses standard pens. The listed entries don’t use standard pens for the styles, the colors have been tweaked. This is part of the reason why this section is here. The concept of making things look good, and using the style guide, as a guide only. Here is a code example.

♞ “Finnish game studio. Currently working on #RTS #RPG The Hive.” @SkydomeHive (uses Facebook as website link); The game has been released, and is for sale. Video gaming channels have made sample play throughs. This is possibly the only game made so far by the design studio, as they don’t seem to advertise any other titles.
