Japanese journalist Shiori Ito alleged that she was raped by Mike (who has strong ties to Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and has published books on Abe’s Cabinet), the former Washington bureau chief for Tokyo Broadcasting System (TBS), the night she met up with him to discuss a job opportunity over dinner and drinks.
This is high profile case, and Ito was apparently diverted to Mike’s house (after she asked to go to a train station) in a taxi afterwards she fell unconscious, and was dragged from the taxi into Mike’s place unconscious. She claims she was raped, but in Japan convictions for such “business” date rapes are extremely rare.
Mike’s name is Noriyuki Yamaguchi from the New York Times Article 2017. This issue is receiving some attention on my twitter stream, but Gharr core work is sharing music, so that is why it is placed here. It is possible women in Japan will be encouraged to come forward about some of their experiences also the #MeToo campaign has seemingly made women aware of the fact that something should be done about this issue.
The Ying-Yang Print is brand new, and has nothing in it as yet.
This news section was named after the the black and white nature of our world. At least it seems that way some. It is based around a minimalist approach.
A simple black and white format.
